Frequently Asked Questions

Does my dog have to be off leash?

Nope! Part of the service you receive is photo editing, to include removing leashes from photos. See below for an example.

What if my dog isn't well-behaved?

No problem. I'll do my best to help your dog feel comfortable with me, which will yield the most natural looking photos. We may not get the posed shot you have in mind, but I like to let the dogs lead the way.

Can I bring more than one dog?

Sure! If you have two or more dogs, I'll also ask that you bring along at least one other person per dog to help wrangle everyone.

Where will we take photos?

I mostly take photos in the Tacoma and greater South Puget Sound area. Popular locations include Chambers Creek Regional Park, Point Ruston, Point Defiance Park, Fort Steilacoom Park, Bradley Lake Park, and Dash Point State Park. Let me know if you have somewhere else in mind - I'm glad to go wherever is most meaningful for you.

Can I be in the photos too?

Certainly! I'll focus on your dog, but I am also glad to capture the special bond you have together.

Do you photograph other animals?

My experience is mostly with dogs, but I'd love to meet your other pets if you're okay with the fact that I'm still honing my skills. Ask me about a discounted rate for a practice session!
